Join Us TodayWhat We Do
Professional Development

In collaboration with our partners, we offer trainings, certifications, and workshops to enhance the skills of orthopedic technologists, prosthetists, and orthotists across Kenya. We also participate fully in the development of orthopedic technology, prosthetics, orthotics, and other rehab-related curricula to ensure that our professionals have top skills and knowledge for the Kenyan and regional population.
Advocacy & Representation

Championing policies and standards to improve the provision of prosthetic and orthotic services across the region. We also advocate for opportunities, represent, and support our professionals in the healthcare sector.
Membership & Networking

Connecting technologists for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and career growth within a vibrant community. We often do this by making visits to our stations countrywide where we share experiences and mentor staff. We also organize meetings, conferences and forums where our members can meet and network.
Our Areas of Specialty
Lower & Upper Limb Prosthetics

We are qualified to assess, prescribe, design, and fit prosthetic devices to restore mobility and independence. This service is often ideal for those with lower limb(foot, below knee, above knee, through hip) and upper limb(hand, below elbow, above elbow & through shoulder) amputations. Of course, those with breast amputations are also not left behind.
Lower & Upper Limb Orthotics

Providing braces and supports to improve function and reduce pain. Notable orthotic assistive technology devices that we provide include HKAFOs, KAFOs, AFOs, elbow braces, hand splints, and many more. These are always prescribed in cases of deformities, injuries, or weak muscles.
Podiatry

Specialized care for foot and ankle conditions to enhance patient mobility. Our members are qualified to handle foot and ankle deformities such as flat foot, pes cavus, foot inversion/eversion, and congenital birth defects that involve the lower leg or the foot. This is always done using casts, custom orthoses(insoles), counseling, and referrals.
